Lesson One: Find Your Goals & Yourself

Having a goal not only motivates you to jump out of bed in the morning, but also keeps you going on those days when you feel like giving up, because you know that you have a goal. And that it is achievable.

I could go on about why goals are important, but you’re smart - you signed up for this course after all! - and you already know that.

So, first things first. What is your end goal? If you know what it is already, then go ahead and pat yourself on the back! You have completed the most important part of your journey. You can also skip to Lesson Two, which shows you how to refine your goal.

If you were like me just 10 months ago though, unsure of what to do next, then I’ve got just the thing for you.

Today’s actionable task: think about what you want in life

Pick goals that will bring fulfilment to your life, that you can look back on and be proud of. Do you want to chase your passion? Or clear off your debt and whip your finances in shape? Perhaps you want to commit yourself to a clean, organised life where you have the freedom to pursue your hobbies. Or, if you’re like me, get into grad school.

This is the time to think about what you really want, whether it is to start and stick to a healthy lifestyle, or to get that promotion.

To help you out, I have designed a worksheet that will get your brain juices flowing. Take your time to go through the prompts, and design a goal that will bring you joy.
